Taxonomy

Comments: One of 62 species in this genus that occur in North America north of Mexico (Cigliano et al., 2018); seven have been recorded in North Carolina
Species Status: Belongs to the Latens Species Group, of which only pallidpes has been recorded in North Carolina (Hubbell, 1936)

Comments: A small to large Camel Cricket. The dorsal surface is usually dark with a strongly contrasting, medial pale stripe. The base of the spurs on the hind tibiae are dark, a distinguishing characteristic of the Latens Species Group (Hubbell, 1936).
