Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Our records come from a wide variety of open, herb-dominated habitats, including maritime dunes, Longleaf Pine savannas, flatwoods, and sand ridges.
Larval Host Plants: The larvae are polyphagous and feed on several species of composites, including asters, goldenrods, and sneezeweeds (Wagner et al., 2011). We have one North Carolina rearing record for Dog-fennel (Eupatorium capillifolium). - View
