Identification

Adult Markings: The ground color is mainly orange-red and heavily dusted with crimson or brown, with the basal and medial areas concolorous (Forbes, 1954). The spots are deep yellow, somewhat dusted with red. The orbicular and claviform are relatively small and rounded; the reniform is normal. The antemedian is obscure and the median is dark brown and sharply angled at the lower end of the cell. The postmedian is dark brown, followed by a purplish-fuscous subterminal space. The subterminal line is slightly darker and somewhat waved. The terminal area is red-brown with a yellow-orange apical patch.
Adult ID Requirements: Identifiable from good quality photos of unworn specimens.
