Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Wagner et al. (2011) list barrens, woodland, and forests as habitats used by this species. Our records span the entire range of hardwoods in North Carolina, ranging from dry-xeric maritime forests to cool mesic Northern Hardwoods on our highest peaks.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed primarily on Beech and Oak but have also been reported on Birch, Elm, and Maple (Wagner et al., 2011) - View
