Habitats and Life History
Habitats: Fields, barrens, powerlines, and woodlands (Wagner, 2005). Our records come from both open habitats, including sandy areas in the Coastal Plain, and woodlands. Both upland and lowland habitats are occupied, and elevations from sea level to over 4,000'.
Larval Host Plants: Larvae feed on a wide range of Legumes (Wagner, 2005). In North Carolina, we have observed it feeding on Lespedeza and Amorpha species. - View
