Description: Yellow-green to green overall, individuals can vary in the pattern on their wings. There are typically several pairs of bold black spots n a mostly green wing; however, some individuals can have few or no spots. The inner margins and outer apical edge of the wings have a brownish tint to them, but this light brown area is typically not very large and does not exceed the green. The head and pronotum are an unmarked green, and the scutellum ranges in color from yellow to green.

For more images of this species, see: BG. NOTE: the green color fades in collected specimens, which then appear yellowish-orange.

Behavior: Can probably be attracted at night with a light.
Comment: This species could be confused with paler individuals of P. pectoralis, but note that it has restricted LIGHT brown areas on the wings, whereas pectoralis tends to be quite dark. The pattern of dark spots on the wings of citrina also tends to be distinctive.
