Description: A very distinctively marked species in this genus. A brownish or greenish-brown species with a bold white crossband across the wings, varying in width and extent among individuals. The pronotum and head can also be pale as well. There are typically four bold black spots on the edge of the pronotum and the edge of the head, and the eyes also overlap/cover the edge of the pronotum.
Distribution in North Carolina

Abundance: Seemingly uncommon to rare with only a handful of records for the state, but possibly more abundant in the right habitat and under collected.

Habitats: Has been found near mixed hardwood forest and in grassy vegetation near montane forest habitat; also in maritime shrub.
