Description: This is usually a light stramineous species without any fumose coloration, but specimens from the mountains of NC have shown a uniformly dark maculation below the eyes, on the lateral margins of the pronotum, and on the mesopleuron and apex of the wings. (Bartlett & Wheeler 2007)
