Natural Heritage Program Status:
Natural Heritage Program Ranks: GNR SH

Comments: This species is known in North Carolina only from a single record dating to 1924. It appears to be a narrowly distributed species occurring in high elevation conifer forests of the Southern Appalachians. As such, it is likely a Pleistocene relict.
